Privacy Policy

SparkSafai ("we", "us") provides residential and commercial cleaning services in the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through sparksafai.ca, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to reach us about it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you use our booking form, we collect exactly the following:
- Full name — to identify who the booking is for.
- Email address — to send booking confirmations and, if you opt in, service updates.
- Phone number — to confirm appointments and reach you the day of service.
- Postal code and street address — to route and schedule the cleaning team to the correct property.
- Access notes (e.g. parking instructions, pets, lockbox codes) — so our team can safely and successfully complete the job.
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email, and message. Our hosting and form-processing providers may also log standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance — we don't use this for tracking or advertising.
Why we collect it
- To confirm, schedule, and deliver your cleaning service.
- To respond to your questions and quotes.
- To send appointment reminders and service updates you'd reasonably expect.
- If you've checked the marketing opt-in at booking: to send occasional promotions and cleaning tips.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.
How long we keep it
- Booking and service records (including access notes) are retained for 24 months from your last completed service, or longer if required for tax, accounting, or insurance purposes, then deleted.
- Contact form messages are retained for 12 months, then deleted.
- Your browser may also keep a local copy of your own booking on your own device (localStorage); it never leaves your browser and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us operate (form processing, email delivery, scheduling), with cleaning team members who need your address and access notes to perform the service, or when required by law. None of these providers may use your information for their own purposes.
Marketing emails & unsubscribing (CASL)
We only send promotional or marketing emails to customers who explicitly opt in via the checkbox on our booking form, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link — clicking it removes you from future marketing emails within 10 business days, typically much sooner. You can also unsubscribe any time by emailing hello@sparksafai.ca with "unsubscribe" in the subject line. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional messages (like booking confirmations) related to a service you've requested.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. Email us at hello@sparksafai.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.
